JOST Modul E-Drive: the electric landing gear for increased comfort and safety
With the electric landing gear Modul E-Drive, JOST sets new standards in convenience, workplace safety and efficiency. With the Modul E-Drive manual cranking is now a thing of the past and coupling and decoupling of the trailer is even easier. Modul E-Drive is particularly useful when access to the landing gear is restricted and when the trailer needs to be coupled or decoupled frequently. The operation is super simple with a single push of a button. The drive shuts down automatically in the event of ground contact. Even though the operation works electronically, manual operation is still possible. Potential differences in height between the truck and the trailer can be compensated using the vehicle’s pneumatic suspension or manual cranking in the low gear. The landing gear is suitable for outside temperatures up to -20°C. The landing gear is based on the proven, highly reliable and robust Modul B series and is available in various mounting heights with an especially large lift. This program is complemented by a comprehensive range of cranks and connection shafts, and easily mountable and replaceable foot system.

The drive is on the inside and maintenance-free. Thanks to the long-term lubrication applied in the factory, re-lubrication is only necessary after three years, and due to the maintenance free design lifecycle costs are low.

JOST landing gears are extremely versatile and have proven themselves time and again in daily use. Their flexible, modular design makes it easy to adapt to all important customer requirements, from standard implementations to specialised applications. JOST will present a highlight from its Modul family of landing gears at the Automechanika Dubai: The OPTIMA is a weight-optimised landing gear for long-distance transport. The landing gear combines strength, durability and efficiency in a lightweight and economical design. Thanks to its low weight, OPTIMA contributes to reduced fuel consumption and higher efficiency in everyday operations. At the same time, it offers outstanding reliability and cost-effectiveness, ensuring safe and smooth use over long distances. The OPTIMA is available in four different mounting heights, providing maximum flexibility and easy installation across a wide range of applications.

Intelligent axle systems with multiple talents
Another centrepiece of the JOST Middle East FZCO stand will be the Drum Modular Axle (DMA) series. Developed as a direct result of customer feedback, the drum modular axles ensure maximum flexibility for every transport application because they can be combined with suspension systems from the DLS range. The DMA combines a robust tubular axle with a modular leaf spring system, which can be adapted to match the customer’s individual specifications. The most striking feature is the external brake drum design, which allows the brake linings to be replaced without having to disassemble the wheel hub – making it extremely easy to service and maintain. In addition, the proven brake design requires minimal repair effort and offers maximum benefit to customers.

The Durable Compact Axle (DCA) series impresses with a fully modular axle construction which opens unlimited possibilities with a minimal number of different parts. For the customer, this means fewer replacement parts, lower stock costs and, lower life cycle costs thanks to unmatched quality. As the lightest axle in its class, JOST presents the DCA WEIGHTMASTER PLUS. Reducing emissions, protecting resources and maximising efficiency were the key aims when developing the new weight-optimised axle. The structure of the entire axle reduces the trio weight by 51 kg. In combination with the optional Weight Optimiser 27, the air bellows support with a lightweight al-uminium tail end structure, further weight savings of 27 kg are possible in the trio. The highlight of DCA WEIGHTMASTER PLUS is its wheel head with optimised weight, wear properties and performance. This includes the new DCA X7 brake, the lightest brake in its segment. The aim during its development was to achieve ideal interplay between the brake disc and lining, thereby reducing emissions while maximising the payload and performance.

JOST DMA: new drum modular axle
In order to provide the right solutions to meet the needs of customers all over the world, JOST is adding the DMA series drum modular axle to its axle portfolio. The drum modular axles in the DMA series ensure maximum flexibility for every transport application because they can be combined with suspension systems from the DLS range. The drum modular axle combines a robust tubular axle with a modular leaf spring system, which can be adapted to match the customer’s individual specifications. The DMA’s most striking feature is the external brake drum design, which allows the brake linings to be replaced without having to disassembled the wheel hub – making it extremely easy to service and maintain. In addition, the proven brake design requires minimal repair effort and offers maximum benefit to customers.

To ensure optimum brake performance at all times and enable ideal wear behaviour, great emphasis has been placed on the interplay between the brake drum and lining during development. This is supported by gradual interaction with an automatic, self-regulating slack adjuster, which controls the brake pressure depending on the wear conditions.

JOST Sensor coupling: Safe Solution with Remote Display
Another centrepiece of the JOST Middle East FZCO stand will be the innovative sensor-based coupling solution that takes safety and convenience in the coupling process to a new level. Equipped with multiple sensors and a remote display in the driver’s cab, the system continuously monitors all relevant parameters to ensure the highest level of safety.

A permanently installed sensor monitors the connection status, while a second sensor checks the exact position of the king pin. To further enhance safety, an additional sensor is mounted on the second lock/latch and ensures reliable control of the handle position. A third sensor monitors the contact with the skid plate, providing both greater safety and ease of use during coupling.

The remote display processes all sensor signals and delivers clear visual and acoustic feedback directly to the driver, ensuring a safe and convenient coupling process, even in poor visibility conditions. Thanks to their placement in protected zones on non-moving parts, the sensors are shielded from damage and external influences.

Electromagnetic compatibility in line with the highest standards, combined with JOST’s proven safety and reliability, ensures that the sensor coupling system offers drivers and fleet operators maximum confidence on the road. At Automechanika Dubai the sensor coupling is displayed at the fifth wheel JSK 37C.

Hyva Wet kit 2.0
Visitors will also get a closer look at the innovative Wetkit 2.0, featuring a side-mount tank and hydraulic cross beam – all with a new modular and compact design that simplifies installation and maximizes space efficiency.

Also on display will be Hyva’s rigid wet kit, which includes one of the high-performance FC149 cylinders, a cylinder cradle, and an aluminum oil tank – a complete solution engineered for strength and efficiency.
